United Transformation Movement (UTM) supporters led by aspiring President Newton Kambala have stormed a court in area 3 in Lilongwe where the Party’s Secretary General Patricia Kaliati is this morning scheduled to appear before the court.
Kaliati was arrested on Thursday for allegedly committing what the police say a felony.
The supporters who are clad in party religas are singing anti-government songs with some carrying placards demanding immediate release of Kaliati.
Kaliati is scheduled to be formally charged and if possible granted bail.
Meanwhile, the police are yet to reveal the exact crime that Kaliati has committed.
