The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has initiated an investigation into Judge Kenani Manda following allegations made by lawyer Alexious Kamangila regarding the judge’s conduct.

Kamangila’s statements, which were posted on social media in recent weeks, raised concerns about the judge’s professional conduct, prompting the relevant parties to formally request a thorough investigation by the commission.

According to a statement from the JSC, the commission is committed to concluding this investigation within four weeks. They have urged any individuals with evidence related to the matter to come forward within seven days.

Among the cases under review are those involving Salima Sugar, Bilderberg Limited, and Fargo. Judge Manda, along with others, faces accusations of alleged misconduct and manipulation in the issuance of rulings.

The JSC’s ongoing investigation underscores its dedication to upholding judicial integrity and transparency in Malawi’s justice system. The outcome of this inquiry will be keenly observed by all stakeholders, and it is expected to clarify any potential misconduct within the judiciary.
