Information reaching this publication indicates Ministry of Local government, Unity and Culture has effected some transfers of some top officials from four district councils in Malawi.
The affected officials who are manly from Finance department are from these district, Machinga, Thyolo, Neno and Mwanza.
According to a memo seen by this publication, Arthur Malemia, Director of Finance at Machinga District Council has been transferred to Mwanza while Tennyson Moyo, Chief Accountant for Thyolo District has been transferred to Machinga.
Executive Secretary for the local government service committee, Edward Talota has confirmed of the development by urging the affected officers to follow the posting instructions as soon as possible.
