Students from the Machinga Teacher Training College (TTC) are staging a demonstration today to express their grievances to the college administration.

According to Blessings Taimu, the general secretary of the student union, the issues include unpaid allowances and a shortage of essential supplies at the college.

Taimu stated that students have gone five months without receiving their monthly K20,000 allowances and are calling on authorities to address the issue urgently.

The students are currently marching from Machinga TTC to the Machinga District Council offices, where they are expected to deliver a letter of grievances to the District Commissioner.
