Renowned fashion designer Xandria left the country on Monday for Kigali, Rwanda to participate at the Youth Connekt Africa Summit.
The summit, which is a major annual gathering that brings together over 20,000 participants from across Africa including heads of state and policy makers, starts on November 8 and ends on November 10 2024.
The Lilongwe-based youthful fashion designer, who through her House of Xandria has been driving a social enterprise known as All Shades of Beautiful Fashion, says she is honored to represent Malawi at the gathering.
“I will be showcasing cutting edge innovation in fashion,” Xandria says.
She is also set to be part of a discussion on ‘Youth in Trade, Entrepreneurship and Access to Finance.”
Sponsored by UNDP, Xandria further says that the summit aims to empower young people by addressing challenges and opportunities in entrepreneurship and innovation
