The Lilongwe Magistrate Court has released on bail 12 people who were arrested yesterday as a group of Israel Job seekers invaded Capital Hill in Lilongwe.

The group of Israel Job seekers wanted to hold a vigil at Capital Hill with an aim of forcing President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera’s government to allow agents to be recruiting the job seekers to work in farms in Israel.

The suspects have been charged with a conduct likely to cause breach of peace at a working place.

The court has ordered the suspect to pay bail bond of Mk20, 000 each and non cashbond of Mk30,000.00.

They have also been ordered to be reporting to police every fortnight.

The case has since been adjourned to January 10, 2025.
