A man caused panic on a Korean Air flight from Bangkok to Seoul on November 7 after attempting to open the emergency exit mid-flight.
The suspect, who had been sitting in a cabin crew seat without permission, was asked to leave by an air hostess, but he reportedly threatened her.
Flight attendants scrambled to restrain the man when he grabbed the emergency door latch, attempting to open it. The crew managed to subdue him, and he was taken to a separate area to calm down.
The Airbus A330-300, carrying 238 passengers, landed safely at Incheon International Airport without delay.
The man was handed over to local police for investigation, and the airline confirmed that the incident was handled according to security protocols.
Korean Air emphasized its zero-tolerance policy toward behavior that jeopardizes aviation safety and pledged full cooperation with authorities.
