Information reaching this publication indicates that one of the founders of United Transformation Movement (UTM) Richard Makondi has endorsed former Reserve Bank of Malawi Governor Dalitso Kabambe on the post of Presidency.
The development comes barely two days before UTM elective conference slated for November 17, 2024 in Mzuzu.
Kabambe arrived in Mzuzu yesterday with pomp.
He is scheduled to face engineer Mathews Mtumbuka, former Minister Newton Kambala and UTM Secretary General Patricia Kaliati on the post of Presidency.
UTM is currently in leadership crisis following the death of its leader Dr. Saulos Chilima in a plane crash on June 10, 2024 in Chikangawa Forest.
