Seven-Year-Old Boy Dies in Road Accident in Salima

A seven-year-old boy, Yassin Daudi, a Standard One pupil Mtiya Primary School in Salima, has died in a road accident.
The accident happened on Thursday afternoon in Mikuju Village along the Salima-Balaka road.
According to Salima Police Public Relations Officer Rabecca Ndiwate, the accident involved a Toyota Sienta, registration number 13655, driven from Balaka towards Salima.
As the vehicle approached Mikuju Village, near the Chipoka roadblock, it hit Yassin Daudi, who was on his way home from school and attempting to cross the road.
Daudi sustained severe head injuries and was later pronounced dead at Chipoka Health Centre.
