A light aircraft belonging to the African Flight Training Academy (AFTA) crashed in the Lina area near Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe. The accident occurred after the plane failed to reach its intended landing spot and collided with a tree.
The aircraft, primarily used for training purposes, was carrying two individuals at the time of the crash. Fortunately, both occupants survived, sustaining only minor injuries. They were promptly taken to the hospital for medical attention.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident to determine the cause of the crash.
