The body of veteran journalist Joshua Kambwiri who once worked with the state controlled Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) will be laid to rest today at Domasi, Zomba.
Kambwiri died in Blantyre in the morning of Saturday, November 16, 2024.
He was one of the popular and articulate English newsreaders at MBC in the 1990s and early 2000s. He also presented legendary MBC programmes such as ‘Sunday Morning Show’.
Kambwiri served as a Station Manager for Nkhoma Synod Radio in its formative years. He also helped the setting up of the now defunct Galaxy Radio and volunteered with Transworld (TWR) at some point.
Kambwiri died at the age of 62.
