Business and education activities have today been disrupted in parts of Lilongwe following tear gas deployment by police to disperse protestors.

It is reported that Police have used tear gas in various locations to scatter demonstrators protesting the ongoing fuel shortage crisis leaving pupils under the age of 5 -10 were hear crying after being affected with gas.

Although calm has returned to areas around the Lilongwe Community Ground, clashes have now shifted towards the Biwi area as police continue their efforts to restore order.
