The leader of the United Transformation (UTM), Dr Dalitso Kabambe along with other officials of Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives (CDEDI) have fled the Lilongwe Technical School in the city of Lilongwe when they stopped to start the protest.

This happened when the police arrived at the place and started firing tear gas which dispersed all the people who had gathered at the place.

Students at the Lilongwe Technical School who were standing outside the gate of the school, when they saw this, fled to the school’s fence, which prompted the police to fire tear gas at the fence.
