The Commission of Inquiry into the plane crash that killed former Vice President Saulos Chilima and eight others says it will submit its report to President Lazarus Chakwera on December 14 2024.
In A press statement signed by The Commission’s chairperson Justice Jabber Alide, says it requested President Chakwera to extend the duration of its work due to overwhelming evidence.
“On November 22 2024, considering the magnitude of the evidence gathered from 120 witnesses as of that date, the Commission requested the President for an extension of the duration of the Commission. The President has granted that prayer”, reads the statement.
The inquiry says it will close the process of taking evidence today on November 26 2024, after which it will make its findings and recommendations to be submitted to the President.
