Mutharika in Mwanza with whistle-stop tours

Former President Peter Mutharika who is also leader of the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) is today in Mwanza where he is scheduled to conduct whistle-stop tours ahead of the 2025 polls.
Mutharika has organized the whistle-stop tours in the district with an aim of encouraging prospective voters to go and register with the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) ahead of next year’s polls.
The third phase of the registrations exercise is scheduled to commence tomorrow.
The former President has been accompanied by former first lady Gertrude Mutharika and some top officials from the opposition DPP.
