In Chiradzulu, the police have arrested a Chief Mwenyedawe from the district on suspicion of beating and injuring a four-year-old boy who allegedly fought with Chief’s son.

Police spokesperson Cosmas Kagulo has said that this happened at the beginning of this week in the village of Nzisedano in the district where the chief tied a snake with a rope and beat him.

A woman from the village who saw this happening was the one who reported the matter to the PIM police who arrested the king.

The king, whose name is Maxwell Jeremani, 49 years old, will appear in court soon to answer charges of causing harm to a person.
