President Chakwera Orders Police to Investigate and Arrest Those Insulting Demonstrators

The President Dr Lazarus Chakwera, has asked the police to investigate and arrest all those involved in the act of insulting demonstrators.

He said that such behavior has no place in a democratic government, so he criticized this practice.

Dr Chakwera said the police should do everything possible to catch these people with the aim of making the law work on them.

Dr Chakwera’s statement comes after criticism from former leaders of the country Dr Baliki Muluzi, Dr Joyce Banda and Professor Peter Mutharika.

Dr Chakwera said this in his message to the nation of Malawi last evening.
