The The Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives (CDEDI) has said that it will force the President Dr Lazarus Chakwera, to fire the Minister of National Security and the Chief of Police for failing to perform their duties properly.

The CEO of CDEDI Sylvester Namiwa said this saying that what happened last week is unfortunate.

They said that the police saw people with machetes disrupting the protestors.

Mr Namiwa said apart from firing the two people, Dr Lazarus Chakwera should also fire all the police officers who were present during the demonstrations saying that they did not do their job properly.

Last Wednesday, Dr Chakwera asked the police to arrest and prosecute all those who had machetes at the protests organized by CDEDI.
