Police officer Peter Chasweka stabbed by unknown thugs in Mangochi

Information reaching this publication indicates that a police officer taking part in the ongoing registration exercise at Mamasimba 1 center at Nlimba ward in Mangochi South has been stabbed by unknown thugs.
The police officer has been identified as Constable Peter Chasweka of National Police headquarters in Lilongwe.
It is said that the police officer met his fate while searching for network around the registration centre in the area.
“The victim has been taken to Nagalamu health center for treatment. CID officers are on way to visit the scene and referral of the victim to Mangochi hospital together with MEC officials,” reads part of the police report.
