Today on 3rd December 2024, Malawi joins the global community in observing the International Day of Persons with Disabilities under the theme, “Amplifying the Leadership of Persons with Disabilities for an Inclusive and Sustainable Future.”

Beit Cure Children’s Hospital, in collaboration with organizations like Malawi Against Polio, launched an awareness campaign to mark the day.

The event began with a parade from Beit Cure to Blantyre Market, where participants conducted a brief sensitization on disability issues.

The parade later moved to the Kamuzu University of Health Sciences Sports Complex, where various sporting activities are scheduled to highlight inclusivity and empowerment.

This campaign emphasizes the importance of creating a more accessible and inclusive society for persons with disabilities, aligning with global efforts to amplify their leadership and participation in sustainable development.
