The English Football Association (FA) has confirmed it will not take disciplinary action against England and Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi for wearing an armband inscribed with “I Love Jesus” during their match against Newcastle.
The armband, featuring rainbow colors, was part of the league’s initiative to promote LGBTQ+ inclusion during the designated campaign week.
While the FA stated it would not charge Guehi, it emphasized the importance of avoiding religious or belief-related statements on official match attire, such as jerseys or armbands.
