The police in Ntcheu have arrested a former teacher at Balaka secondary school and another friend on the suspicion that they are involved in the crime that takes place in the district.

According to Ntcheu police spokesperson Jacob Khembo, Lonjezo Samalani and Nickson Chiudza have been carrying out this operation since January this year and have found various belongings of people in Mphate and surrounding areas.

Khembo said that on the night of the 15th and 16th of June this year, the two broke into a house and took about ten computers and the clothes of the journalists who were working at the burial ceremony of the late Dr. Saulos Klaus Chilima in Nsipe.

Samalani who has been in prison before comes from Kamwendo village while Nickson Chiudza comes from Nachiye village for chief Kwataine in Ntcheu district.
