The opposition Peoples Party (PP) and Malawi Forum for Unity and Development (Mafunde) have announced an electoral alliance ahead of the 2025 polls.

This has been revealed today in Blantyre during a media briefing hosted by PP Secretary General Ben Chakhame.

In the briefing, Chakhame said the two political parties have the same ideologies of uplifting the well-fire of Malawians at heart hence the alliance.

According to Chakhame, more details of the alliance will revealed by the leaders of the two political parties in the near future.

Peoples Party (PP) President Dr. Joyce Banda spoke of the alliance during the elective conference two months ago.
