Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) and National Registration Bureau (NRB) have postponed their joint press briefing initially scheduled for this afternoon in Lilongwe.
Communication signed by MEC communications officer Richard Mveriwa has not explained reasons for the postponement but says a new date will be announced in due course.
The two entities were expected to update the nation on the voter registration exercise whose third phase ends today in Mzimba, Lilongwe Rural, Lilongwe City, Mangochi, Mangochi Municipality, Mwanza, Chikwawa and Nsanje.
Both MEC and NRB recently warned parents to refrain from falsifying the age of their children to enable them access both civil and voter registration.
