President Dr Lazarus Chakwera and the first Lady Madam Monica Chakwera visited the Kamuzu Tree planted in the 1960s, as one way of encouraging Malawians to take care of forests.

President Chakwera first Lady Madam Monica Chakwera had time to take photos at the tree while appreciating the great work done by the first president for Malawi, late Ngwazi Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda.

The tree stands as a symbol of late Kamuzu Banda’s commitment in promoting tree planting.

From there, Dr Lazarus Chakwera visited the Raiply Malawi Company Limited where he also planted a tree, symbolising his visit.
