A total of 87 children have been diagnosed with measles at Nkhotakota General Hospital.

The head of the hospital, Dr Jacob Kafulafula, said that these children are from the area of ​​the chief Malengachanzi, Nkhanga and Mwadzama.

“Measles affects even people as young as 15 years old, so tomorrow, we will start giving vaccinations to children under 5 years old because of the lack of vaccinations and the fact that the disease has affected children from 9 months to 5 years old”, said Mr. Kafulafula.

According to Mr. Kafulafula, the symptoms of this disease include blisters on the body, flue and fever.
