The Ministry of Education has directed the reopening of schools in 16 districts that had suspended classes due to Cyclone Chido.
This follows the cyclone’s reduced intensity, which led to the decision to resume lessons. The suspension, announced earlier this week, had affected schools in areas hit hardest by the storm.
In a statement issued by the Ministry’s Secretary, Mangani Chilala Katundu, it was confirmed that classes will resume on Wednesday as per the new directive.
