The High Court in Blantyre today failed to start hearing in a case in which the state wants to forfeit assets of Norman Chisale.
Judge Anneline Kanthambi adjourned the matter to 25 February 2024 after the defence brought two fresh applications.
“We want disclosures, and we feel the state sued a wrong party in this case, hence calling for dismissal of the proceedings.” Chancy Gondwe, lawyer for Chisale, said.
The State wants to forfeit assets of Chisale suspected to have been acquired unlawfully.
