Well-known social media influencer Gerald Chavez Kampanikiza has finally joined the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) ahead of the 2025 polls.

Kampanikiza has confirmed of the development in a statement posted on his official facebook page seen by this publication.

“ It has been verified that Gerald Kampanikiza is now a member of MCP, supporting the government of Dr Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera and the people of Dedza Boma Constituency and Dedza as a whole.

“The page’s usual business will continue uninterrupted. I love you all,” wrote Kampanikiza.

Kampanikiza was once a member of the Peoples Party (PP) where he served as one of the intelligence members under the reign of former President Dr. Joyce Banda.

The social media influencer is scheduled to contest as MP for Dedza.
