High Court to Resume Hearing in Case Against Norman Chisale in Cement-Gate Case

The High Court of Malawi, Revenue Division in Lilongwe is set to resume hearing the case against Norman Chisale, former bodyguard to President Peter Mutharika, who’s accused of misusing Mutharika’s Taxpayer Identification Number (TPIN) .
Former director general of State Residences, Peter Mukhito and former Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) deputy commissioner general, Roza Mbilizi are also answering to charges in the ongoing cement-gate case.
However, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Masauko Chamkakala, has dropped a similar case against two business persons, Mahmed Shafer Chunara and Ahmed Mohammed Chunara.
