Zambian musician Mordecaii has come under fire from fans on Facebook after accusing his former manager, David Kazadi, of attempting to delay the release of his upcoming album titled ‘Selfless’.

In a Facebook post last night, Mordecaii claimed, “I can’t believe Kazadi Music wants to block me from dropping my album again!!!! we can’t keep doing this David Kazadi.”

However, fans were quick to call out the “Fire” hitmaker, alleging that the post was a ploy to generate buzz for his album. Critics argue the move is a manufactured “beef” to promote his music, a tactic they deem uncreative for an artist of his stature.

Prominent Facebook users joined the conversation, including pencil artist Mercy G Art, who commented, “This strategy though, you are a big brand. You are bigger than this mweh. There are better ways of promoting it… Otherwise, I love your music, keep it up.”

Another influencer, Chanda John Chimba, added, “Use better strategies to promote your album, not through this fake beef. This is why we are still behind. You will never perform from the sky like Chris Brown if you don’t get creative.”

The criticism has sparked a broader discussion among fans about effective and authentic ways for artists to market their work without resorting to controversial tactics.

Despite the backlash, anticipation remains high for Mordecaii’s album, which fans hope will showcase his talent beyond the drama.
