Leader of the House, Richard Chimwendo Banda, has dismissed as unfounded the remarks from the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) claiming that President Chakwera did not complete responding to all the questions on the Order Paper.
He clarified that the presidential question time in Parliament is guided by standing orders.
Chimwendo Banda was responding to remarks made by the Leader of the Opposition, George Chaponda, and some members of the DPP, who insisted that Dr Chakwera should continue answering questions beyond the stipulated 1.5 hours.
He explained that the structure of the session was pre-determined, which is why the first question was allocated to the Leader of the Opposition, recognising his seniority on that side of the House.
