16-Year-Old Girl Dies, Husband Hospitalized From Drinking Poison After Witchdoctor Duped Them K1.3 Million In Balntyre

A 16-year-old girl has died, and her 21-year-old husband has been admitted to Mlambe Hospital in Blantyre after drinking poison following a dispute with a witchdoctor.
Chileka police spokesman Jonathan Philipo said the couple went to the witchdoctor in Kameza with K1.3 million, hoping to multiply it through magic, but the witchdoctor stole the money from them.
Philipo stated that when the couple confronted the witchdoctor and demanded the return of their money, he threatened them, prompting them to drink poison.
The police have launched a search for the witchdoctor.
