Vice Presisdent Michael Usi has condemned some people who are trying to frustrate the government efforts of responding to the hunger situation in the country.
Usi made the remarks at Chikwawa Primary School Ground when the World Food Programme WFP, in partnership with World Vision Malawi, distributed relief maize to about 9061 households
He said there are some politicians and civil servants who are frustrating the efforts, either by talking ill about it or being lazy on their job.
Paramount Chief Lundu thanked the government for the efforts but appealed for an increase in the number of beneficiaries.
The exercise was part of the 2024/2025 El Nino Food Insecurity Response Cash and Food Distribution.
