A 36-year-old man, Emamanuel Makwacha, from Namiwa village in the area of ​​chief Kapichi, Thyolo district, committed suicide by hanging himself.

According to the media communication officer at the Luchenza police station, Douglas Museu, the deceased tied himself up in the morning on December 29 because of a disagreement with his relatives.

“On the night of December 28 this year, the deceased wanted to kill himself but when his relatives saw this, they ran to save him and then locked him in the house,” Museu said.

But Museu said that during the night the deceased managed to break the window of the house and it was his relatives who found him dead in the morning.

“After examining the body, the doctors found that Makwacha died of suffocation,” Museu said.

He will be laid to rest soon.
