Lightening Kills Three Women, Injures Three Others In Thyolo

Lightning struck and killed three women while injuring three others in Thyolo yesterday afternoon.

Sub-Traditional Authority Chidothe confirmed that the women were at Miseufolo Trade Centre, engaged in their small-scale businesses when the lightning struck.

The deceased have been identified as Fasileni Gwesa from Muheku village, and Florence Machaka and Beatrice Jumbe from Mpemba, both in the district.

The victims were rushed to a private clinic, where they were pronounced dead on arrival.

Police are yet to comment on the matter.
