Police in Zambia have arrested 51-year-old Sylvia Mutoba Kalaba and her children after discovering the skeletal remains of her husband, George Kalaba, who had been missing for nearly two years, in their home.
According to Diamond TV, George Kalaba, a former Zanaco football player, had been reported missing by his brother Emmanuel Kalaba. Family members had long suspected Sylvia but were denied entry into the house whenever they sought answers.
Zambian police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga confirmed that officers, acting on a tip, raided the house where they found a locked room containing human bones on a bed. The shocking discovery has raised many questions about the circumstances surrounding George Kalaba’s death.
Sylvia Kalaba, along with her four children—Natasha (19), Sandra (22), Wendi (27), and a 15-year-old are currently in police custody as investigations continue.
