Police in Kawale, Lilongwe, have intensified investigations to apprehend suspects connected to the brutal murder of 27-year-old Noah Luckion.

Kawale Police Station Public Relations Officer, Sub-Inspector Precious Mabvuto Phiri, stated that the deceased, Noah Luckion, and the prime suspect, identified only as Aubrey, had been involved in a long-standing conflict. T

he two previously lived together in the same house in Area 24 but went separate ways after a disagreement that led to Aubrey being evicted by Noah.

The rivalry escalated on January 20, 2025, when Aubrey reportedly attacked Frezor, a friend of Noah. In retaliation, Frezor and his friends attempted to confront Aubrey at his house but found him absent and instead vandalized household items.

Aubrey, angered by the destruction, gathered a group armed with panga knives to seek revenge. Targeting Frezor’s home, they instead found Noah Luckion fast asleep. The gang attacked Noah, inflicting fatal injuries.

Well-wishers rushed Noah to Kamuzu Central Hospital, but he succumbed to multiple stab wounds on January 21, 2025. A postmortem confirmed that he died from severe complications caused by the stabbing.

Police have launched a manhunt for Aubrey and his accomplices, who remain at large.

Noah Luckion hailed from Mkanda Village, Traditional Authority Mazengera, in Lilongwe. Authorities have urged anyone with information about the suspects to come forward.
