Prominent Malawian business magnate Leston Mulli has reported a massive theft involving goods valued at K500 million from one of his warehouses.

According to Limbe Police spokesperson Aubrey Singanyama, Mulli lodged a formal complaint on Friday. “Leston Mulli came on Friday, to lodge a complaint that goods worth K500,000,000 are missing at one of his warehouses,” Singanyama confirmed.

While Singanyama refrained from disclosing details about arrests, citing that the matter is being handled by officers in the Criminal Investigations Department, police sources revealed that two individuals, including a female relative, have been taken into custody.

The sources added that strict visitation conditions have been imposed as investigations into the matter continue. Further updates are expected as authorities progress with the case.
