Victoria Sakwata and her two friends are trending on social media after viral photos showed them wearing nun-inspired miniskirt outfits during Mzuzu University’s (Mzuni) recent social weekend.

The event, held last weekend, saw students dressing in eye-catching and creative outfits to make the occasion memorable. The social weekend, which featured popular artists such as Temwah, Teddy, Slyc and Trappy Beats, also included the selection of Mr. and Miss Mzuni.

Victoria, who was crowned as Miss Mzuni, was later spotted alongside her friends dressed like Catholic nuns but in miniskirts, a look that has since divided opinions online.

Some social media users have criticised the outfits, arguing that they disrespect Catholic religious values, while others have compared them to porn actress’ costume.

However, others defended the look, saying bold fashion statements are a key part of social weekend events and see no issue with it.
