A Zambia National Service (ZNS) recruit, Mukakempe Hantuba, was laid to rest in Lusaka last week after tragically passing away during training at Kafue Training School.
Hantuba, a recent graduate of Levy Mwanawasa University where she studied mental health, had joined the military to serve her country in a new capacity. However, her promising future was cut short when she fell ill during training at ZNS Kafue Training School a week ago.
Her sudden passing has left her family, friends, and fellow recruits devastated. Many have taken to social media to express their grief, remembering her as a dedicated and ambitious young woman.
The Zambia National Service and the nation at large mourn the loss of a recruit who had hoped to make a difference. Our sincere condolences go out to her family, friends, and the ZNS community.
