ZIMBABWE – A 50-year-old married teacher, Nyasha Gambe, from Mutimwi Secondary School in Zaka, tragically passed away on February 8, 2025, after spending the night at the home of his alleged girlfriend, Laina Chimutsa.

Masvingo Provincial Police Spokesperson, Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa, confirmed the death to TellZim News, noting that no foul play is suspected.

The incident took place at Chimutsa’s residence, situated near Mutimwi Business Centre, close to the school.

Reports suggest that Gambe, who had been drinking, reached out to Chimutsa, a 34-year-old shopkeeper, around 10:30 PM, expressing a desire to spend the night at her house. The two agreed, and Gambe proceeded to Chimutsa’s home.

After engaging in sexual activity, Gambe reportedly started feeling unwell, becoming weak and experiencing incontinence. In a state of panic, Chimutsa contacted Gambe’s younger brother. They rushed him to Ndanga District Hospital, where he was sadly pronounced dead upon arrival.
