
Two Brothers Arrested for Burglary at Dzaleka Pentecostal Church

Police in Dowa have arrested two brothers in connection with a burglary at Dzaleka Pentecostal Church, where on suspicion that they stole assorted items worth about K1.2m.
Dowa police publicist, Alice Sitima, said the suspects, Jasson Lapken, aged 25, and Victor Lapken, 18, were apprehended yesterday at Dzaleka Refugee Camp.
Sergeant Sitima alleges that, among other things, the two stole 39 plastic chairs, two mattresses, a bicycle and a metal door.
She said the suspects demonstrated to the police how they gained entry into the church.
The duo who hails from Ngombongombi village, in the area of Traditional Authority Msakambewa in Dowa, will appear in court soon.
