“I watched too many ZeeWorld dramas” – Zambian wife says after giving birth to Indian baby

A Zambian couple, whose child has a unique appearance, has decided to part ways, with the husband, Victor Munengu, now requesting a DNA test to confirm the child’s biological father.

Initially, the couple had explained the child’s distinctive look by attributing it to Munengu’s fondness for Indian movies and ZeeWorld dramas, a statement his wife made. Munengu had previously accepted this explanation and pledged to take care of the child.

However, after facing online criticism on Facebook, where people mocked him for agreeing to the explanation, Munengu has reportedly changed his stance. He is now seeking financial help from the public to fund the DNA test, aiming to raise K95,000. So far, he has received K250 in donations.

Munengu works as a Yango driver operating from Makeni Mall, while his wife is employed as a maid in Madras, Kamwala, Lusaka, where she works for Majid Patel, who runs a grocery store in Kamwala Market.
