Three Teenagers Arrested for Stealing Plumbing Materials Worth K21 Million in Lilongwe

Three teenagers have been arrested by Police in Lilongwe for breaking into a shop and steal various plumbing materials valued at K21 million on February 9th, 2025.
Deputy Public Relations Officer for Lilongwe Police Station Constable Khumbo Sanyiwa has identified the suspects as Kelvin Banda, 13, Precious Yona, 14, and William Josephy, 18.
According to Sanyiwa, the suspects gained entry through a ceiling hole from the other side of the building.
“Lilongwe Police detective’s instituted investigations which led to arrest of the suspects, and managed to recover two instant heaters, basin mixers, bath mixer, sink mixer, 16 stop cocks, 4 gate valves, ball cocks and 2 gate valves.
They will appear in court soon to answer breaking and theft charges.
