South African politician trends following leak of her s..3xtape in her party’s Whatsapp group

Norah Mahlangu, mayor of Tswaing Local Municipality in North West, has taken a one-month leave after a leaked explicit video of her circulated in an ANC WhatsApp group.

The video, showing Mahlangu undressing and engaging in explicit acts, caused her significant embarrassment, leading to depression and public scrutiny.

Speculation suggests the video was sent to a partner who may have tried to extort her. After she refused, it was allegedly shared with political rivals.

Mahlangu’s leave follows her last public appearance at a funeral, where she called for an investigation into the deaths of two municipal workers.
