Human rights lawyer Alexius Kamangila has called for protective measures after death threats were made against his legal team.
Kamangila expressed concern for his lawyer, Gift-Dick Chimowa, who represented him in a case involving corruption allegations against High Court Judge Kenan Manda.
“They should not wait for more property or indeed life to be lost,” Kamangila said via WhatsApp, stressing the need for leadership in the case.
AACC ambassador Reverend Baxton Maulidi joined the call, urging the ACB to prioritize whistleblower protection. However, both ACB and government spokespersons declined to comment.
