Zambian 96 Year-old Woman Burnt To Death By Granddaughter Over Witchcraft Allegations

A Zambian 96-year-old woman has been burnt to death by her granddaughters in Mambwe District, Eastern Province,Z on suspicion of practising witchcraft.
The deceased has been identified as Maria Nkhoma, of Senior Chief Nsefu’s area, who was burnt inside her house.
The elderly woman was accused of being responsible for her three granddaughters’ failing marriages.
Eastern Province Police Commanding Officer, Robertson Mweemba, has confirmed the incident, saying it happened on the night of Monday this week.
