The remains of Catholic seminarian Luciano Llyod who passed away on Wednesday night in Mchinji following a hit and run accident will be buried tomorrow. Luciano, aged 24, was a third-year seminarian at Kachebere Major Seminary in Mchinji and hailed from Nkhate Parish in the Diocese of Chikwawa.

On Saturday, 1st March 2025, funeral mass will be celebrated for late Luciano at the cathedral and thereafter burial at the cemetery for priests at Mzimu Woyera Seminary grotto. Luciano succumbed to haemorrhagic shock from severe blood loss after being taken to Mchinji District Hospital.

Yesterday, a vigil was observed at Kachebere major Seminary while today the remains will be taken to Chikwawa where vigil will be observed at St Michaels Cathedral.
