Fire Guts Tay Grin’s House Last Night

Malawian iconic musician Limbani Kalilani, popularly known as Tay Grin, has shared his feelings after his house caught fire, destroying most of his belongings Yesternight on 3rd March 2025.

The artist made a post on his official Facebook today, posting a video of the fire with a caption expressing his shock over the incident.

“Yesterday, a fire broke out at home, reducing my room to ashes. I stood there in shock, feeling more helpless than ever as the flames consumed personal belongings and cherished memories. I had spent the entire day resting in that very room, recovering from the traveling of the past few weeks. The thought haunts me; what if I hadn’t stepped out just minutes before the fire started? I could have been deep asleep, unaware of the danger. Though I’ve lost so much, I am profoundly grateful for the gift of life. I thought I should let everyone know that I am OK,” Tay Grin wrote.

Following the tragic event, fellow musicians and fans have been sending messages of support to the artist. Malawian musician Onesimus commented, “We thank God for He preserved your life, big man. This is a tragedy, and I’m praying for a quick recovery.”

Many have joined in comforting the artist  in the comment box during this difficult time.
